What we store

Your email address, username, display name and time zone; the year you were born and the date you confirmed you’re 18 or older (never your full date of birth — we use it once to check your age and throw the day and month away); the country you signed up from, as our host Cloudflare sees it at that moment (we never keep your IP address, city or region, and we don’t update it later); what you post, react to and vote on; your credits and free-ask usage; and notifications.

Your birth year and sign-up country are never shown to anyone. We use them only as the record of your 18+ confirmation and for anonymous statistics (how many members per country and age group). They’re in your data download and are deleted with your account. They’re not used for tax: when you buy credits, our payment provider works out the tax from your billing details.

Why

To run your account and the community, keep the daily limits fair, stop abuse, and show you what happened with your questions. We don’t sell your data and we don’t show ads.

Who helps us

Supabase (database and sign-in, hosted in the EU), Cloudflare (hosting), Google (only if you sign in with Google), and OpenRouter, which sends question text to the AI model that writes the answer. We ask providers not to keep or train on that text where they offer the option.

Cookies

Only what’s needed: a sign-in session cookie and a cookie that remembers which site you’re on. No advertising or tracking cookies.

Your rights

On your profile you can download a copy of your data or delete your account yourself; you can also write to support@nosyparkerai.com to see, correct or delete your data. When an account is deleted, its questions and comments stay up as “Deleted user”; you can also ask us to remove specific posts. Read notifications are deleted after 30 days.

If you report illegal content without an account, we keep the name, email and link you give us with the report, only to handle it.
